After being in an accident many years ago where a video witness proved invaluable, when my current dashcam broke I wanted something that was Super HD (as we have recently purchased a 4k TV) to ensure we get every detail! This looked to fit the bill, I also wanted something that could use a universal mount (my last one used a specific mount and that broke making the camera useless!)Once ordered it arrived super quick, everything needed was included in the box!! Cables, 32gb memory card, camera, instructions, mount and a car charger. The camera itself is very usual, a lens on the front and a screen on the back, buttons on the sides and inputs on the top and bottom for power, micro HDMI and the SD card.Setup was simple, I simply installed the memory card and formatted (within the camera) then everything worked, the instructions talk you through the settings for various scenarios but I left all as default. Installation into the car was easy, there is enough wire to make sure you can install it anywhere in the car. I picked below my rearview, the mount provided is good, but the great thing is it’s a standard camera mount meaning you can buy various mounts on the internet should you have any issues (most problematic part in my experience).Once installed I did a test drive and then reviewed the footage on my TV, the picture was amazing!! I have a Ultra HD tv and the picture was great, very detailed. Pausing I could easily see number plates and no details were missed. I viewed direct from the card, but you can also view via the micro HDMI adapter.Overall a very good camera with amazing UHD recording meaning no details are missed should there be an accident!! I have included a video outlining the various menu’s and showing the camera in use, unfortunately as it’s ultra HD movie maker won’t edit it so I had to convert to a lower resolution before I could then edit it.Read more
