Costumer review about TomTom GO 610 6 inch Sat Nav with World Maps - Black
We bought this as a replacement for our 10 year old Tom Tom and boy has technology moved on!It is superb, much easier to use than the old one but a lot more sophisticated.When you first log in, you enter your email address and it sets itself up and from then on It has a built in Sim card to receive updates, so you don't have to mess around connecting it up to things.We bought the 5 inch screen thanks to another review that said it was the best size (compared to the 6 inch version) and despite not having tried the 6 inch one, I think that this is the right choice as you can see the screen very well indeed but it's not to cumbersome, which I think even that small additional size might make it.The best features are:1. The ability to toggle between 'Overview' and 'Street View' modes.2. It shows the speed that you are travelling and the current speed limit for the road you are on and a little icon goes red if you are speeding!3. It shows fuel stops along your route on a journey line on the right of the screen.4. The way you enter your destination is simple, type in a postcode or the address on a screen and it offers you options for where you want to go.5. The sucker pad mechanism for the windscreen is vastly improved and sticks/releases when you want it to.6. Worldwide, lifetime mapping thrown in with updates!I've only had it a week but have made two long, complex journeys and this has made them a lot easier and more enjoyable than they otherwise would have been.The only other thing that I will say is that this is a much better choice than going for a built in Sat Nav in a car. They are expensive to buy and expensive to upgrade the software for. Avoid built in, get this and if you change your car you are quids in!I give this Sat Nav my highest possible recommendation.
